Wolff closes his eyes and listens. He inhales deeply, then shudders. Hell, damn it. I smell a soft spicy-floral scent. There has to be a woman somewhere. I can’t be wrong. Hell, her scent is getting stronger. Damn.
He opens his eyes and walks towards the wall, carefully inspecting it.
Damn, I see a small line. There’s a faint light. He moves closer to the wall and runs his hand down the side of the wall, searching for anything.
Shadow starts to run his hand over the wall. He always follows Wolff’s lead because he always sniffs out the enemy. That’s why they named him Wolff.
Shadow’s hand touches a small bolt and the wall creaks open. He rushes inside. Wolff follows him inside the room, which is full of women.
“No!” the woman cries out. She rushes to the other side of the room. They huddle together in an attempt to protect each other.
“US Navy SEALS. We won’t hurt you!” Wolff roars, raising his hands up to stop them from crying and yelling.
“Status,” Officer Ford shouts, pacing around the control room aboard the ship. He looks over at the dark monitors.
“Hostages in room.”
“Mission complete. Evacuate. Pick up 0330.”
“Negative.”
“It’s a directive, McKenzie!”
“There are American and Mexican woman in this room! They’re young girls!”
“Damn!” Officer Ford turns to Lieutenant Commander Ramirez to get his orders.
“Evacuate.”
“Yes, sir!” Officer Ford repeats his orders.
“Evacuate, McKenzie!”
Fucking hell! That’s not right! Wolf turns to look over at Shadow and nods.
Shadow nods and turns to look at the girls. “Let’s go. I’m positive that they’ll be rescued.”
They turn to leave the room to make pick up. The girls watch them with wide eyes, scared and anxious. They cry but then stop when they see that the men start to leave.
Vanessa Adams, a tall blonde American girl, runs after Shadow, and manages to grab his arm.
He turns around, surprised, and looks down at her.
Vanessa looks up at Shadow, her huge blue eyes full of tears. Her pale fair skin is covered in bruises and her sundress is torn.
“Help me. Please help me go home. I was kidnapped from Puerto Vallarta when I was on vacation.”
Hell, I’m going to ask them to take me home. I can’t stay here. It’s crazy scary here. Nicole Porras is a Mexican-American girl from San Jose, California. She runs after them and grabs Wolff’s right arm.
“Please, oh please don’t leave me here. I’m Mexican American and I want to go home to California. Please don’t leave me.”
The beautiful Mexican-American girl looks up at Wolff. Her scared wide brown eyes shine brightly. Tears slip down her face.
Wolff looks down, inhales deeply, and shudders. Hell, oh damn no! Her hand is burning and setting me on fire. I can’t believe my fucking luck! This is the soft, spicy-floral scent that I smelled outside. She’s my mate! A Mexican- American human mate!
He grinds his molars in an effort to control the intense emotions running rampant through his body.
“Wolff, we have to take them back with us.”
“McKenzie, evacuate!” Officer Ford yells into the speaker.
“There are American girls here!”
Lieutenant Commander Ramirez closes his eyes and grinds his teeth together, in frustration.
“How many?”
Wolff turns to look at the other girls and then looks down at his beautiful mate. He gazes into her eyes and falls deeply into her soul.
“McKenzie!”
“How many Americans?” Wolff forces himself to turn around to look at the other girls.
